BIOGRAPHY: Minister of Parliament for Westmoreland county from 1678-79 and 1681 and 1685. Commissioner of Assessment for Westmoreland in 1677-1680, and in 1689. Apparently he served as a soldier as well in 1685-1688 as a "Captian of Horses in the Regiment of Robert Warden". Legend has it that he had a severe gambling addiction which resulted in him losing the ancestral Bellingham lands in Helsington and Levens in Westmoreland in a card game to a James Graham.
MARRIAGE: Apparently he died unmarried.
